PlayStation 3 Yellow Light of Death (Orange light of Death)

Symptoms: when the PS3 is turned on from the back the red light at the front of PS3 comes on when you turn the PS3 on, PS3 turns on for a second the front light turns orange-yellow and then the PS3 turns off the red flashing to solid.

How to self diagnose this error and remove discs stuck inside the console. 

Please note this meathod of disc removal only works for 40GB and 80GB units.

PlayStation 3 Not reading discs / Blu ray repair

Symptoms: PS3 turns on and operate fine but the PS3 would not play any Blue-Ray discs (Ps3 games or Blu-ray movies).

How we fix: In many cases we find that the blue-ray lasers go out of alignment and when they do it will keep struggling to read discs (starts with blu ray discs and effect DVD) and one day it will stop altogether and when it does some times all we have to do is realign the blu ray laser and it will work fine and repair will cost $35.00 to do this and if the blu ray laser goes within 3 months of us realign the laser we take the realigning repair cost out of the new blu ray  laser cost. If we find the laser is not functional any more repair will cost $95.00 to have a Brand NEW Sony blu ray laser fit into your PS3 and realign the blu ray laser and as Sony parts are only warranted by Sony for 3 months we can only warranty this repair for 3 months.

Sometime the entire Blue-Ray drive become faulty and in that case to replace the entire drive including the blu ray laser it cost $129.00 and comes with 3 month warranty..

Symptoms: PS3 turns on makes all correct sounds but nothing on the screen.

How we fix: Some cases it is simple as resetting the PS3 C-MOS and cost of this repair is $25.00 and some times the problem is permanent damage to the mother board from over heating in which case repair costs $149.00 to have the mother board replaced with a Brand NEW Sony mother board.

Symptoms: PS3 turns on and goes on to an error screen saying HDD needs to be reformatted but keeps repeating this error

PlayStation 3 Slim Shutts off every 30mins

Symptoms: PS3 turns on and function as normal but within 30minutes of play time it shutts off as if someone pulled the plug, after leaving it to cool down unpluged and replugged it functions for another 30min or so and every time it gets shorter time.
